Clubs and Activities 2022 - 2023

five benefits of joining a club

Meeting new people. School clubs help students develop their social skills. They fine-tune their interactions with their peers and with faculty members, and they have the opportunity to connect with other students who share similar interests.

Learning new skills. Being a part of a club or a society helps you to gain knowledge, skills and experience in leadership, communication, problem-solving, group development and management, finance, presentation and public speaking. You will feel the change in yourself.
Getting better at time management. This is because of the skills they learn from participating in different activities. Students learn to manage time, organizational skills and improved self-confidence.
Gaining experience that could help you in the future.  Joining high school clubs is a great way to achieve that goal! Even better, having a well-rounded portfolio can improve your competitiveness as a future college applicant.

Improving confidence. Students who actively participate in extracurricular activities get a lot of benefits including higher  grades, and test scores, higher educational achievements, more regularity in class attendance and higher self-confidence. While out-of-school activities increase leadership and teamwork abilities in students.

GHS encourages all students to get involved in extra-curricular activities. Below are websites that are maintained by clubs and activities at Golden High School.
