Shadow Program for incoming 9th graders
There are no more open slots for shadowing. Please call the registrar at 303-982-4163, if you would like to schedule a tour.
Golden High School Shadow Program provides your student the opportunity to see a day in the life of a Demons. We invite 8
th graders to shadow on the following Tuesdays, maximum of 6 shadow students a day:
- November 13
- November 27
- December 4
- December 11
- January 15
- January 22
Shadow students have the option to shadow for a half-day or a full-day.
- Half-day shadow students can be picked up at the end of block 4 at 10:54 a.m.
- Full-day shadow students can bring a lunch or money for lunch and can be picked up at the end of school day at 2:25 p.m.
Shadow Day Information
- 7:00 a.m. - parent(s)/guardian arrive with student to meet Mr. Gill, incoming 9th grade counselor, for a brief orientation. Shadowing student is introduced to their student representative for the day.
- 7:15 a.m. - students begin shadow day.
- 7:15 - 7:45 a.m. - Parents are invited to stay for a meet and greet session with Mr. Gill.
- Students should bring reading materials for work time during class.
Shadow Day Sign-up
The shadow program is designed for students interested in making Golden High School their possible high school home. It is not to be used for visiting friends for the day.
- A Golden High School counselor will assign a current 9th grade student representative to a shadow student based on their core class and electives interests.

If your student cannot make their shadow appointment, there will be no rescheduling or rain checks. Thank you for your understanding.
